About breed
A Norwegian Forest Cat is a cat with semilong-hair coat - this breed derives from Scandinavia (there are references in Nordic mythology)- which is constituted by a double fur: the thick undercoat that protects it from the cold, and the waterproof overcoat that prevents water from getting in contact with its skin. The cat is powerfully built; legs are medium with hind legs longer than front legs, what enables them for effective jumping and firm paws with heavy tufting between toes, long and bushy tail, beautiful triangular head with a straight profile, large and open ears ending with tufts, fabulous almond-shaped eyes and what enchanted me – “the wildest” gaze.
It is a cat with an amazing character, which loves people, and adapts to changes easily. A cat completely devoted to people he/she lives with and loves. It is a cat that integrates with other domestic animals easily.
Every breeder aspires to the ideal cat and it is the forerunner of the Pan’s Truls race.
